CEVA Logistics in Turkey support Ford Otosan

CEVA Logistics in Turkey has been working closely with global car giant, Ford Otosan (the Turkish based car manufacturing company jointly owned by the Ford Motor Company and Koc Holdings), to assist in the manufacturing of ventilators, coveralls and full-face shields.

As with changes and production switches in other locations around the world Ford Otosan has worked with experts in other fields in order that they can work together and play their part in fighting the pandemic. CEVA’s team in Turkey has responded to the challenges and contributed with its skills and know-how to this process and along with supporting the distribution operations for these new products.

CEVA teams have travelled on 184 different distribution routes covering 35 cities across Turkey delivering these vital medical supplies. Our team in Gölcük used our warehouses and distribution network to make deliveries to the nearby institutions, such as hospitals (in Istanbul – Kocaeli, Bursa – Eskis‚ehir, and – Ankara – Kırıkkale).

During the lockdown, we were able to obtain the necessary permits from the authorities for all our distribution operations. And thanks to our extensive distribution network operating all around Turkey, our Ground Team managed to dispatch «URGENT» coded products from our Gebze Distribution Center for quick delivery to remote locations including Malatya, Ardahan, Adıyaman, Kars and Gaziantep. To date we have successfully completed 53,005 trips and delivered 1.8 million individual boxes of emergency supplies.
